Returning Australian travellers should be aware that all persons entering the Northern Territory are required to complete documentation related to quarantine restrictions under the Chief Health Officer guidelines. After immigration-processing arrivals will proceed to the health management areas and undergo a temperature scan, health screen followed by key administrative requirements related to entering quarantine at Howard Springs International Quarantine Facility.
Incoming travellers should be aware on arrival the screening processes at the airport and the quarantine facility can take several hours.
Daily / weekly requirements:
You will be tested for COVID-19 on arrival (day 0), day 7 and day 12 (exit swab).
These tests are necessary to help you to safely exit quarantine in the shortest time.
If you refuse a test, you will be required to remain in quarantine at Howard Springs for an additional 10 days at your own expense.
- Facemasks must be worn at all times when you are outside your room
You must stay least 1.5 metres away from any other person in the quarantine facility, except for family group’s sharing accommodation
- When you arrive at your room there will be an iPad, a welcome pack, an information pack with key contacts and a snack bag.
- The iPad is your communication tool with your Telehealth Customer Service Officer and they are here to help you.
