DESCRIPTION:Registrations Closes: Friday 1st May \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNumber of participants: Min 12 / Max 24 \n\n\n\nDay 1: 8am – 5pm  \n\n\n\nDay 2: 8am – 5pm \n\n\n\nLocation: Bees Creek Training Facility \n\n\n\nThis two-day course is for personnel who attend pre-hospital incidents. The course provides participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to safely and effectively manage trauma or disaster patients in the pre-hospital environment. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAt the end of the course participants should be able to: \n\n\n\n\nDemonstrate the triage sort and sieve\, treatment and transport principles used within mass casualty incidents\n\n\n\nDemonstrate the assessment and effective management of a vehicle crash scene\n\n\n\nDemonstrate the assessment and effective management of trapped casualties\n\n\n\nDemonstrate the safe extrication of trapped casualties\n\n\n\nDiscuss the importance of and demonstrate working effectively within a team setting\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuitable Participants: \n\n\n\nRemote Area Nurses\, Remote Medical Practitioners\, Medical and Nursing professionals\, Retrieval Specialists\, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners (ATSIHPs)\, Emergency Services\, Mine Rescue and Australian Defence Force health personnel. \n\n\n\nCourse Cost: \n\n\n\nNorthern Territory Government staff members: $300.00 [pp incl. GST] \n\n\n\nNon Northern Territory Government staff: $600.00 [pp incl.
