2021 – West and Far West New South Wales – COVID-19

At the request of the Australian Government and New South Wales Health, two AUSMAT deployments were sent to assist West and Far Western NSW in their COVID-19 health response, specifically in protecting vulnerable communities.

In a collaborative response alongside NSW Health, Aboriginal community-controlled health services, Careflight, The Royal Flying Doctors Service and The Australian Defence Force, AUSMAT’s Alpha team successfully operated door-to-door and drive-through vaccination programs across 10 regional locations. Team Bravo was deployed with the primary focus and objective to contribute to the second dose vaccination drive in Western and Far West NSW.
