2022 – Kalkarindji – Remote Northern Territory

The NCCTRC RRT deployed to Kalkarindji in February 2022 in support of the NT Government, with the primary objective to assess the community response to the current COVID-19 outbreak.

Working closely with the local community and key stakeholders, including Victoria Daly Regional Council, Katherine West Health Board, local healthcare staff, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, schools and community leaders, the RRT were active in assessing community response to the community outbreak and conducting pop-up vaccination clinics to increase vaccination across the community.
