The following documents are required to be signed by all AUSMAT personnel prior to a deployment.
The activation of Howard Springs while a domestic response is considered an AUSMAT deployment and as such all codes of conduct and policies attached apply. Where a document refers to "overseas" or "deployment" it should be read as relating to all AUSMAT activities irrespective of destination, location or engagement.

The heat and humidity can cause stress and dehydration. It is recommended you limit your exposure to the sun and drink at least two litres of water everyday – more if you are exercising. Please monitor your colleagues and their activity in the sun. Please promote hydration and rest as needed and complete staff surveys so we can ensure a safe working environment and real time management of any issues in the field. Please bring a flexible attitude and work to support your fellow team members to deliver the best outcomes we can to our fellow Australian’s during what is and has been a challenging time.
