DESCRIPTION:Registrations have closed. \n\n\n\nRegistration closes: 3 Oct 22\n\n\n\nNumber of participants: Min 12 / Max 18 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis two day\, Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) accredited course\, aims to teach theory & practical skills to effectively manage cardiopulmonary arrests\, peri-assist situations & special circumstances\, whilst following the latest ARC guidelines. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse content includes: \n\n\n\nRecognition\, assessment & management of life threatening arrhythmiasDefibrillationBasic & advanced airway management including Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA) insertionLegal & ethical issues in resuscitation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPre-requisite: \n\n\n\nCurrent Basic Life Support competent (evidence to be provided). \n\n\n\nOn succssful completion\, the participant receives a certificate valid for 4 years however it is an ARC recommendation that skills are updated at least annually. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuitable Participants: \n\n\n\nHealth professionals working within emergency departments\, intensive care\, high dependency\, coronary care\, operating theatres and retrieval\, and is required to lead a resuscitation team.
