Pookie Vajrathorn

Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Pookie Vajrathorn is a registered nurse with experience in Emergency and Community Health. Pookie holds a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing and a Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing Practice. Pookie has been an AUSMAT member since 2010 and deployed both domestically and internationally. In 2015, she was deployed to Vanuatu to support the Cyclone Pam response, working at the Port Vila Central Hospital in the emergency department, surgical and medical ward in a surge workforce capacity. Following in 2024, Pookie was deployed to Vanuatu again to support AUSMAT’s earthquake response. Pookie has a strong interest in disaster medicine, rural and remote medicine and mobile laboratory services, reflecting her commitment to delivering quality care in diverse and challenging environments.
