Bees Creek Training Facility
The NCCTRC’s Bees Creek Training Facility is dedicated to preparing Australian and international health personnel for emergency responses to disasters and public health outbreaks. Situated just 30 minutes from Darwin, Northern Territory, this unique facility offers disaster simulation training in an austere environment.

The 20-hectare site features two expansive training rooms, indoor and outdoor breakout areas, a commercial kitchen, staff offices, and ample parking. It also includes on-site accommodation for up to 30 personnel, enabling in-residence disaster simulation training.
The facility is available for training programs, conferences and events, offering a range of services to meet diverse needs, including:
- Modern presentation equipment
- Screen sharing and video conferencing facilities
- Wired or wireless high-speed internet access
- Catering services
- Printing and stationary
A dedicated team of supportive staff is always on hand to ensure the smooth running of all activities and events hosted at the facility.
The Bees Creek Training Facility, located on land provided by the NT Government, was officially reopened on 23 July 2024 following significant upgrades.
The enhancement of the facility was funded by the Australian Government through the Federal Department of Health and Aged Care.
