Our research

The NCCTRC disaster medical research program has three primary themes:

  • Maximising the performance of disaster responders in tropical climates
  • Disaster response capability
  • Disaster information management.

The NCCTRC collaborates with multiple agencies in an effort to deliver practical improvements in disaster medical response. The NCCTRC is developing a reputation for disaster research that is operationally relevant and applicable to the northern region and to tropical neighbours.
