Following the impact of a magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck near Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city on 28 March 2025, the Australian Government deployed a five-member AUSMAT Specialist Advisory Team to support the response. The team worked closely with the Australia Assists Rapid Response Team, coordinated with local health responders, and provided recommendations to support the international relief effort.
