Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC) Training and Simulation Exercise and Training-of-trainer (ToT) workshop

PHOENIX hosted participants from 14 countries for the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC) Training and Simulation Exercise, and the Training-of-trainer (ToT) workshop in Darwin, Australia.

Dr Ana Mahe, Senior Medical Officer in communicable diseases and PHEOC focal point at the Ministry of Health Tonga, shares: “This training in Darwin equips me with essential skills to manage health crises. I will use this experience to train others using scenarios and group discussions specific to home and the Pacific region.”

Dr Teng Srey, Deputy Director of the Department of Communicable Disease Control at Cambodia’s Ministry of Health shared: “We are not just learning, we are building a regional network here. We have trained alongside colleagues from other countries. It builds trust, coordination and solidarity.”

This course was delivered by PHOENIX in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO).
